BROOKLYN is a young actor originally from Orange County, CA. She began performing in 2006 at South Coast Repertory Theatre Conservatory. She trained with them for 9 years — 6 of which were spent in their youth intensive. Her first professional performance was in their annual production of A Christmas Carol, starring along Hal Landon Jr. as his sister Fan. In 2012, she became an active participant in her high school’s theater department alongside her work with SCR. Her notable roles were Morticia Addams in The Addams Family Musical and Jane Bennett in Pride & Prejudice. She graduated in 2016 having done 15 theatrical productions between SCR, Sage Hill School, and various community theaters.
She began studying at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2016 at her primary training studio, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. Here, she starred in two staged productions including Blue is the Warmest Colour (Adele) and LULU (Lulu). She also gained extensive experience in acting, directing, design, playwriting, and movement. For her third year of training, she studied The Method at The Lee Strasberg Institute for Film & Television. After a semester, she earned the role of Young Woman in their mainstage, Machinal, directed by the brilliant Matt Dickson. Once the show completed its originally run, it was brought back for a second full run.
She spent the fall of 2019 at Stonestreet Studios, studying on-camera technique. She took classes focusing on production, industry, writing, and auditioning. In November, she was admitted to a Shakespeare intensive at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. With 15 other chosen actors, she went to London in late January to work with RADA’s Shakespeare experts. Their final production of Coriolanus was a collaborative experience with director Gary Lagden, where Brooklyn played the role of Volumnia. Shortly after, she graduated as both an Honors student and recipient of the Founders Day Award — completing her Acting BFA and time at NYU.
